Development status

Promising by design.
Honest about readiness.

Astra Civic is an early-stage software platform focused on municipal websites, civic content and services. This page separates an illustrative experience from a validated production capability.

Demonstrated in this public website

The local walkthrough includes a fixed fictional service directory, text search, category filters, service details and a sample notice editing and review interaction. Publishing updates only temporary state in the same browser page. Reloading resets it.

This product website also implements its own navigation, buyer resources and a server-side enquiry integration. Enquiry delivery is operational only when a suitable endpoint and associated controls are configured.

Not demonstrated as production platform capability

Persistent CMS editing, authenticated roles, production publishing, full-site search, council-system integrations, migration tooling, translations, uptime, scalability and disaster recovery are not verified by this site. The local walkthrough does not connect to or validate the separate application.

Planned or exploratory

Advanced forms, subscriptions and alerts, full editorial workflows, optional privacy-aware analytics, localization tools and AI assistance are roadmap discussions. Feasibility, scope, timing, providers, pricing and acceptance require separate evaluation. See modules and roadmap.

Commercial and evidence status

No verified municipal customers, paid deployments, customer case studies, production performance results, SOC 2 certification or WCAG certification are represented. No public live municipal demo is offered. The private Northfield concept is fictional and has no public service link on this site.

Before a production engagement

  • Demonstrate the actual required workflows against agreed scenarios.
  • Review application security, privacy, accessibility and hosting evidence.
  • Confirm content ownership, migration, training and operating responsibilities.
  • Agree licence, fees, service scope, support and acceptance in writing.
  • Complete qualified legal review and an explicit release decision.
